GEAR HIRE

Prices are per day and GST inclusive. All daily hire rate charges start from the day of pick up until the item is returned clean and dry. Prices may be subject to change. Ts & Cs apply. 

HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Adventure Southland Ltd require the primary hirer to present a NZ drivers licence or passport when booking. The primary hirer must be a responsible adult over the age of 18. As the primary hirer you are responsible for all loss or damage to the equipment. Equipment lost, stolen or damaged will be charged for at replacement cost.  All daily hire rate charges start from the day of pick up until the item is returned clean and dry.
Every care is taken in the fitting and maintenance of our equipment, but we do not accept responsibility for injury to people using our rental equipment. By hiring the gear, you understand that activities that require the use of hire goods may be physically demanding and that there is inherent risk of injury. By signing the disclaimer you release Adventure Southland Ltd and its staff from any liability for the following: any injury to person(s), and damage to any belongings while participating in activities that require hire goods. 
You will be required to provide information pertaining to your use of the equipment, including location, activity, and your experience level. Upon review, if Adventure Southland Ltd deems the gear unsuitable for your intentions or experience level, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. In this instance a refund of the hire fee will be provided.

Personal Locator Beacons
In the event that the hirer does not make contact with Adventure Southland Ltd or return the goods before the agreed “Panic Date and Time” as per the booking, Adventure Southland will endeavour to first contact the hirer, or the hirer’s nominated Emergency Contact person if the hirer cannot be reached. Failing a satisfactory response from either party, the appropriate authorities will be notified of the hirers failure to return.

The hirer will pay all costs including the costs incurred by Adventure Southland Ltd through setting off the Locator Beacon as a result of any emergency situation, or negligent act or omission or misuse of the Locator Beacon by any person, and any costs incurred by Adventure Southland Ltd should Search and Rescue authorities be informed of your failure to return the Locator Beacon before the agreed “Panic Date and Time”.
