HEIGHT SAFETY & CONFINED SPACE COURSES
We specialise in a wide variety of rope access and confined space work, as well as delivering practical height safety and confined spaces training. Although based in Invercargill, our trainers regularly travel across New Zealand sharing our expertise with those working at heights.
Completing training through us means that you are dealing with instructors that actually work on ropes so they have a practical understanding of how this may benefit your workplace. Don’t expect to be sitting in a classroom talking about practical applications, the best way to learn this is to be hands on.
Choose between courses covering unit standards, or a custom course specific to your needs while still meeting the requirements of AS/NZS standards, and best practice guidelines.
Unit Standard Course
Unit Standard 23229: Use safety harness system when working at height. Level 3. Credits 4
Equivalence Course
Covers the same material as the Unit Standard Course, but no units are awarded.
COURSE OUTLINE
This one-day basic height safety course delivers the knowledge and skills to safely approach working at heights. The course enables students to select, inspect and correctly use height safety equipment for work at heights. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the rescue plan to be activated in the event of a fall.
Minimum 3 people per course or a charge of $870 excluding GST.
UNIT STANDARD COURSE: $315pp exc. GST
EQUIVALENCE COURSE: $290pp exc. GST

Unit Standard 15757: Use, install and disestablish temporary proprietary height safety systems when working at height. Level 3. Credits 4
Unit Standard 23229: Use safety harness system when working at height. Level 3. Credits 4

Covers the same material as the Unit Standard Course, but no units are awarded.
COURSE OUTLINE
This two-day heights safety course enables students to select, inspect and correctly use height safety equipment for work at heights. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the rescue plan to be activated in the event of a fall. Identify anchor points and prepare to install a temporary proprietary height safety system; Install horizontal and vertical temporary proprietary height safety systems. Use temporary proprietary height safety systems and disestablish temporary proprietary height safety systems.
Minimum 3 people per course or a charge of $1,275 excluding GST.

COURSE OUTLINE
This two-day course is designed for those who plan, manage, and perform work in confined spaces. It covers identifying hazards and controls within confined space, developing an emergency plan and procedures.
Minimum 3 people per course or a charge of $1,125 excluding GST.

EQUIVALENCE COURSE: $400pp exc. GST

COURSE OUTLINE
We provide training for those needing to develop their rope rescue skills. Whether fall arrest rescue, rope access, or a more advanced procedure, we can tailor our courses to suit your needs. Our trainers have extensive knowledge of industry standards and utilise their expertise and experience to deliver practical, relevant training that will give workers the skills and confidence to complete the job safely.

We can travel to your site and do site specific training. There are a few extra costs associated with this to accommodate the instructors.
